Debate Training

Debate training has been arranged for the following dates, 7pm - 10pm each evening:

Monday, 21st November;

Monday, 28th November, and;

Monday, 5th December

We will be teaming up with the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) Debating Society for these sessions. Meeting for practice will take place in the SOAS Brunei Gallery, near the SOAS Russell Square Campus. There is no experience required but you may be asked to speak in an impromptu debate (you don't actually have to, but you should)! There is no dress code for these sessions.

Out of London Middle Temple students who are interested in finding a debate training venue should get in touch, so that we may find a local university or speaking club that is closer to you!

 
Debating News

The Imperial Open:

Congratulations to the Middle Temple teams and debaters who competed with success at the Imperial Open! Topics debated included violent protest, term limits for political figures, and contacted isolated people-groups.

The English Mace- Sign-Up Now!:

Our next tournament will be the English Mace, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the debating calendar. The Mace will take place on the 26-27 November in London. No experience required.

Middle Temple Debating Society is part of the Middle Temple Students Association (MTSA). Out of the four Inns of Court we are the largest and most successful debating society and put on events for debaters of all abilities. We send student debaters to competitions across the UK, Europe and even further afield.
